The premier of China said that this year will be very complicated for the economy of his country and he pledged to his citizens that the government will do everything to battle inflation and non-stop increase on property prices.

In an effort to calm the Chinese people of worries about food safety, corruption and other social issues, Premier Wen Jiabao addressed questions via a rare online chat Saturday.

When asked about the ongoing trade and economic friction between the United States and China, Wen said that this would be better resolved with negotiations and not sanctions.

Leaders of the ruling communist party of China have been trying to reach out to the citizenry which is the largest group on Internet users in the world. Wen promised that there would be another one next year.
