The chauffeur who accused Naomi Campbell of hitting him issued an apology two days after the alleged incident.

On Tuesday, the 27-year-old driver sought help from the police after Campbell allegedly hit him from the back of the car during an argument which resulted to some bruising under his eye.

But today, the driver who is still unnamed recanted his statement and said that he just overreacted to the whole incident.

In a statement, the driver said that he and Campbell was having an argument inside the Cadillac Escalade he was hired to drive for the 39-year-old model.

He said he regrets having involved the police and he was apologizing to Campbell after his report grew out of control.

Campbell said in a statement that she was pleased of the driver’s apology and “I would like to put the last few days behind me and move on.”

The model has a long history of angry fits. In the past, she was sued by her assistants and even the police for attacking them.
