Kesha Rose Sebert, better known as just Ke$ha, is a fairly new artist who made her debut in Flo Rida’s “Right Round” early this year. However, she was unaccredited for her part.

That did not this 22-year pop singer from Los Angeles, California from reaching her dreams. She has proven to the music industry that she is not only good in doing a backup job, but she can also stand on her own as a solo artist. This was shown when her debut single “Tik Tok” was downloaded a record high of 610,000 times from December 21 – 27. This is the highest number for a female artist since 2003 when the tracking began.

“Tik Tok” has overtaken Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” which grabbed the record exactly a year ago. Coincidentally, “Right Round” currently holds the overall record with 636,000 copies downloaded in February 2009.
