Facebook experiences minor glitches

Facebook users around the world have been complaining about the site’s performance since Saturday morning.

Users from the United States have been trying to use Facebook but it ws unusually slow and some could not even log in. Others experienced too much glitches.

The same problems were felt by other users across the globe – from Mexico City to Bangkok. These users used another leading social networking site, Twitter, to log in their complaints.

According to Matt Hicks, spokesman for Facebook, the problem only affected a “small percentage of users”. The problem was an isolated problem that caused the users to have issues accessing the site and their friends’ profile.

Facebook announced by 6 p.m. Eastern time that all the problems have been resolved.

Unlike Twitter, Facebook never had major issues regarding system glitches. In August, hackers were able to infiltrate the short messaging site and shut it down for several hours.
